  • Master of Arms at the Spanish Academy (Academia Española de Maestros de Armas) for all three sporting disciplines (Foil, Sabre and Epée).
  • Specialist Master in Stage Fencing.
  • Expert Master in Traditional and Historic Fencing.

Sporting experience

  • Seven-times Spanish Champion with the Foil.
  • Member of the Spanish National Team for 10 world championships and for the olympics in Moscow, Seoul, Barcelona and Beijing.
  • Director and Fencing Master for the Spanish Royal Fencing Federation 1993-2003.
  • Current trainer for the Spanish National Men's Foil Team.

Cinema and Theatre


  • El Síndrome de Ulises (2008): Production of Antena 3. Fencing Master giving classes to the actors: Miguel Ángel Muñoz, Javier Mora and Mario Pardo. I choreographed the sporting and knife-fight scenes for episode 18. Video and photos
  • Tristan and Isolde (2008): A Royal Theatre (Teatro Real) production. Dramatic direction by Escena Lluís Pasqual. Musical direction by Jesús López Cobos. Fencing Master giving classes to the soloists Robert Dean Smith, Jon Frederic West, Alexander Marco-Buhrmester and Lauri Vasar. I choreographed the end of Act II.
  • El Internado (2007/8): A Globomedia production for Antena 3. As Fencing Master, I choreographed the fight sequences.
  • Il Trovatore (2007): A Royal Theatre (Teatro Real) production. Dramatic direction by Elijah Moshinsky. A co-operation where I brought a pupil (José Luís Chavarría) into the acting group of performers.
